NEXT month sees the beginning of a new lunchtime concert series based at The Winchester School of Art, run by the music department at the University of Southampton.
The series kicks off with pianist Mai Tanaka who is a student studying for her masters in Performance at the University of Southampton.
Mai studies piano with the music department's head of keyboard, world-renowned concert pianist, David Owen Norris.
Before coming to the University of Southampton Mai obtained her Bachelor of Music degree from the prestigious Osaka College of Music, one of the top universities in Japan.
The concert will take place in the West Side lecture Room at Winchester School of Art on May 4 from 1pm. Entry to all of the lunchtime concerts will be free of charge and all are welcome to attend.
