A NEW Forest village is gearing up for its 58th carnival week from June 4-11.
Copythorne's annual spectacular will culminate on Saturday, June 11 with a carnival through the streets of the picturesque village near Cadnam.
Judging of the fancy dress, floats and giant heads will be followed by cart racing, a street dancing display, clowns, games and many more attractions. In addition to the normal proceedings will be the Carnival Prom on Saturday, June 4 during which the Carnival Queen will be crowned and music will be supplied by local bands Speaking of Losers and The Rocking Fossils.
The ninth Annual Steam and Vintage Vehicle Rally will follow on Sunday, June 5 from 11am to 5pm.
The usual mix of old vehicles will be on display at the Scout Headquarters on the A3090 Ower to Cadnam road.
Hugely popular bus trips into the Forest will also be on offer once again.
The village's annual fun run will take place on Wednesday, June 8 with people running around Copythorne and Winsor.
