THE cross of St George took centre stage at the Leapfrog Day Nursery in Pilgrim's Close, Valley Park, Chandler's Ford, as youngsters made sure England's patron saint was recognised.
It was a case of red and white ruling as more than 100 children celebrated
St George's Day by playing games with a giant cross of St George and painting flags and dragons.
Nursery manager Tanya Alborough said: "We felt it was really important for the children to celebrate
St George's Day and have fun learning about the traditions behind the event."
