NORTH Hampshire got a sight of luxury on rails as the Orient Express made a stop near Hartley Wintney.
The world famous train, which arrived in Winchfield just before 11.30am on Friday, consisted of 10 coaches and was pulled by an English, Welsh and Scottish Railways locomotive.
While travelling down from London, passengers were treated to a light brunch and glasses of champagne. On the return trip they were served afternoon tea.
About 150 passengers were dropped off and taken by coach to the Four Seasons Hotel, in Dogmersfield, where they enjoyed a gourmet three-course lunch.
The Orient Express was chartered for key customers and employees of Hertfordshire-based business performance group The Grass Roots Group to celebrate the company's 25th anniversary.
David Evans, chairman of The Grass Roots Group, said: "Everyone should start their morning train journey in an armchair with a glass of Champagne. I am sure it would make companies more productive.
"All trains should be like this one. We have had a great time and it would certainly make commuting easier."
