TOTALLY Tennis believe that tapping into the potential of a child at an early age can prove invaluable in later life.
The Rugrats sessions for pre-school children are designed with that in mind.
Many skills will be developed by the time a child leaves primary school, so the proper development of agility, balance, co-ordination and speed are essential from a young age to develop a full athletic potential.
The Totally Tennis Rugrats sessions - which started on Monday, April 18, and run every Monday for five weeks until May 23 - are a hands-on session designed for parents or carers who want to work with their children who are aged three or four.
Co-ordination and reception skills are developed through play and games.
The sessions are great fun and they also help children build confidence and social skills before they start school.
The sessions are not just confined to tennis, but are designed to improve each child's abilities and lead them towards sport participation and, therefore, a healthier lifestyle.
The emphasis is on fun and parents must be prepared to join in.
The course sessions run in line with school terms but with the added advantage of participants also being able to attend on a pay-and-play basis, should they wish.
