HOOK'S annual village meeting: Will be at 8pm on Thursday, April 21, at the Elizabeth Hall.

The meeting will start with a display of exhibits to browse around (the most important of these will be the plans for the new Elizabeth Hall) followed by the formal meeting, which starts at 8.45pm.

Much of this part of the meeting will be spent answering questions from villagers.

Parish and district councillors, the police and Hart and Highways representatives will be there during the first part of the evening, if you want to catch them for an informal chat.

GRAFFITI: Throughout the whole of this week it will be Graffiti Busting Week.

Run by Hart District Council, this aims to encourage people to respect their environment and to remove as much graffiti as possible.

If you notice any graffiti, report this to Hart District Council by ringing 01252 774476.

Alternatively, you can e-mail a photograph to safety-team@hart.gov.uk

HIGHLAND cattle: Yes, those big hairy ones with giant horns. Hook is about to welcome its very first pair to the village.

They are part of the on-going work of the Bartley Heath conservation work parties.

There is always a lot to do on the health and working parties. They generally meet once a month for tidying or repair work.

If you would like to join in with one of the working parties, then contact Tim on 764541.
