CAMPAIGNERS battling against plans to erect giant wind turbines on the Isle of Wight are targeting the Isle of Wight County Council elections on May 5.
ThWART (The Wight Against Rural Turbines) are launching an advertising campaign which promotes the use of renewable energy on the Island - while at the same time preserving the landscape of West Wight.
ThWART campaign manager Ray Tucker said: "We should be taking bold and positive steps to harness dependable forms of renewable energy, while also protecting the Island's unique and valuable landscape.
"With elections approaching, it is time for everyone to ask their prospective councillors where they stand on this issue."
