LUDGERSHALL councillors are against massive developments which would threaten the traditional village atmosphere.
Members of the parish council decided they didn't want the Castledown business Park to go ahead in its present form and said they were fed up with outsiders foisting their views about what should happen on their village.
Matters came to a head after it was found that the entrance to the proposed business park would involve a 195ft diameter roundabout or a fresh set of traffic lights - which is a cheaper option favoured by the developers St Modwen Properties.
Parish council chairman, Chris Williams, said: "We should tell St Modwen to pick up their tent and go away and not to bother us any more.
"We don't want a massive roundabout, traffic lights or a link road that will obliterate the views of the church.
"We didn't ask for a business park and we do not want all the trappings that go with it." For the full story see Friday's Andover Advertiser.
