A TRUST providing support for a mid Hampshire health watchdog has gone into liquidation.

Help for Health Trust was contracted to support Patient and Public Involve-ment Forums for four health trusts including Winch-ester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust and Mid Hampshire Primary Care Trust.

Sir George Young, the Conservative parliamentary candidate for North West Hampshire, said he was shocked to hear about the liquidation.

"These Patient and Public Involvement Forums were a key part of the Labour Government's reforms, and were meant to replace the excellent community health councils, which the Govern-ment abolished," said Sir George.
