HUNGRY for some laughs? What's On gives you the definitive line-up of all the best comedy in the south this week...
THE king of one-liners, Milton Jones headlines a great weekend of comedy at Jongleurs in Southampton this weekend with support from the equally irresistible Roger Monkhouse, Ian Moore and Rick Right.
Milton has won more awards than the Kansas state spelling team, his most recent being the Time Out Comedy gong for best comedian.
Saturday night's show has already sold out though there are still some seats left for tonight.
There is also an evening of comedy on Thursday including the hilarious Mandy Knight and Trevor Crook.
Tickets for tonight are £13. Contact 0870 787 0707.
NOT content with being one of Southampton's best live music venues, The Brook is now trying its hand at comedy. And on first impressions the laughs are looking pretty good.
On Saturday the Newcastle Brown Comedy Club arrives there with two of the best comedians in the business.
Perrier Award winner Wil Hodgson used to be a punk, then he had a stab at being a wrestler, before joining the Communist party. No surprises then that he regales his audiences with tales of anti-fascism, small-town prejudice, his passion for big women and Care Bears!
Ian Cognito is an angry comic with bags of panache and some of the most outspoken views on the circuit.
Expect an interesting evening, to say the least!
Tickets are £8. Contact 023 8055 5366.
