THE second longest running musical in British theatre history has had a re-vamp for the 21st century and is steaming into Southampton's Mayflower theatre as part of its first ever UK tour.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express, which opened in 1984 and is second longest running musical only to Cats, is about the triumph of love over adversity. Back after a US tour and a revamp that makes the show faster and more dazzling than ever, audiences will be left gasping in amazement.

The new sets, costumes and 3D technology, used for the first time ever, combined with Andrew Lloyd Webber's original score and the breathtaking daredevil stunts, adds a new edge to this already hugely successful show, which offers something for the entire family to enjoy.

Starlight Express takes you on an unforgettable journey of speed, spectacle and excitement that will make you want to see it time and time again, so get your skates on and see it before it departs.
