MANAGER-in-waiting Steve Leigh says it's do or die for Newport IoW tomorrow in their Ryman 1 survival fight.
Failure to beat Dulwich Hamlet at St George's Park would, he believes, bring the curtain crashing down on their 15-year reign as a Southern/Isthmian League club.
With just three games remaining, the Islanders are hovering precariously above the relegation trap door in 20th place, just a point clear of Ashford Town, having played one game more.
They did themselves a massive favour by winning 3-0 at Corinthian Casuals last Saturday and need a repeat performance tomorrow to stand a fighting chance of staying up.
"If we carry on where we left off last Saturday we'll get out of this, but if we drop our standards, we won't, it's as simple as that," said Leigh.
"We've got no option but to give it one big push. If we don't and results go against us, we'll be down.
"All the matches we've got left are winnable and it's in our own hands now."
Next Saturday (April 23) Port host rock-bottom Croydon, who are all but relegated, and they finish the season away to Molesey, who have pulled clear of trouble in 16th.
Leigh strained ankle ligaments last Saturday, but said: "Fingers crossed I'll be fit."
Utility man Adam Barsdell is back from suspension, but midfielder James Dunk has one last game in the sin-bin.
Ollie Fleming hopes to shrug off hamstring trouble and recently-signed veteran striker Fraser Quirke has had a well-deserved week off to recharge his batteries.
"Quirkey has been a massive bonus for us," said Leigh. "We haven't had anyone to give defenders a hard time the way he does."
