THEY are the Saints football stars of the future.
But this group of young footballers believe the current crop of Southampton players can avoid the unthinkable - relegation out of the Premiership.
Yesterday the youngsters gave their heroes their full support by joining the Daily Echo's Staying Up with Harry and Jim Campaign.
As part of the Saints in the Community scheme, coaches from the club have been giving professional football training to pupils at Newlands Primary School in Millbrook, and the young supporters are behind Harry Redknapp's boys and believe they have what it takes to avoid the relegation drop.
With just six games left this season, Saints are facing another battle to stay in the Premiership and The Daily Echo is calling on fans to support the team against their relegation rivals.
Saints fans at the primary school remain confident that their football heroes will win their fight for survival and remain in the top flight of English football next season.
Enthusiastic nine-year-old Josh Sheath is hoping the club can win all their remaining games and tips Henri Camara as a Saint saviour, while ten-year-old soccer player Emma Laybram is getting behind striker Peter Crouch to net goals and keep the team up.
All 400 pupils at Newlands Primary School get the soccer coaching and Deputy Head teacher Jill Hart said they all love taking part. "It's very prestigious being able to have Saints coaches come to the school and the children have a fantastic time," she said.
