RECRUITMENT giant Matchtech, which employs 190 people at its headquarters at Whiteley, near Fareham, has become the first major UK recruitment agency to pass the new Department of Trade and Industry-backed audit scheme.
Matchtech, with has a projected turnover of £120m for this year, passed the Recruitment and Employment Confederation's (REC) pioneering scheme with flying colours.
The REC employs an independent firm of auditors to ensure that agencies are compliant with industry regulations and operate to the highest possible standards.
REC boss Gareth Osborne said: "Congratulations to Matchtech - they have set a high standard and are a fantastic example to other recruitment agencies."
Matchtech managing director Paul Raine said: "We believe it sets us apart and gives both our current and future clients absolute confidence in the high quality of our service."
The REC is the association for the £24.5 billion recruitment and staffing industry in the UK, with more than 6,000 recruitment agencies in membership.
