Fans have their say on Saints' performance at Blackburn.
It was hugely disappointing - there was great support from the Saints fans but the team just couldn't rise to the challenge.
I know there were fans afterwards saying the team didn't try, but that's an automatic thing to say - I don't think that was the case.
If you looked at the faces of the players when things they tried didn't come off, you could see they were devastated. They DID try - they just weren't good enough.
Some of the players aren't good enough. Crouch battled his heart out but there was no quality around him, and the same could be said for Nigel Quashie.
My confidence has waned a bit but I'm still hopeful of staying up. If we can beat Villa and Norwich at home it puts a different complexion on things.
We've certainly got an easier run-in than West Brom while Norwich are a bit too far adrift.
I'm not expecting too much at Bolton, but you never know.
Malcolm Ross, Southampton
The team looked as though they had only met for the first time that day.
Basic ten-yard passes went astray time and time again, there was no creativity and certainly no hunger in the team.
The only one who seemed to care was Nigel Quashie as he constantly berated his team-mates.
Two incidents summed up the game. Bernard was dispossessed in the Rovers half after about 75 mins and rather than run back he simply walked back.
When the inept Camara was finally substituted he stormed off down the tunnel.
Make no mistake, this performance had GOING DOWN written all over it.
For us long suffering fans, it was a very long and frustrating journey home. One of many this season!
The grim reality is simple. We need to win the next two home games against Villa and Norwich and we also need to pick up another four points on our travels.
Bolton, Pompey and Palace away is a very daunting prospect.
Failure to beat Villa at home will probably be the beginning of the end for us.
"Harry and Jim will have to produce miracles to sort this lot out.
Martin Philip van Tuyl, Kingsland season ticket
It was all a bit predictable really.
Saints were outnumbered five against four in midfield with little threat down the widths.
Blackburn read us like a book. Surely it doesn't take Einstein to figure out that when we play away we should adopt a 4-5-1 system to stop getting over-run in midfield.
Losing by three goals was like losing four points instead of three due to our diminishing goal difference.
It truly was a poor performance at a time when we needed to put the shutters up away from home.
The players need to realise they have to dig in and fight to get us out of this precarious position.
We were too nice by half on Saturday.
Blackburn must have thought we were out for an end-of-season stroll rather than scrapping against relegation.
If we play and line-up against Bolton, Portsmouth and Palace using a 4-4-2 formation I fear a similar outcome.
Dominic Greenslade, Eastleigh
The game was awful - the players didn't seem to care at all.
There was no concentration - most of our passes went to a Blackburn player - and no commitment.
"It was a huge step backwards, we had been playing well, and for it to come at this stage of the season is worrying.
I went to Middlesbrough and the contrast couldn't have been bigger - there every player wore their heart on their sleeve.
I'm still confident we can stay up but this was a massive disappointment.
Jim Smith, Southampton.
