SOUTHAMPTON'S biggest billboard has been erected to welcome visitors and VIPs heading to the city to mark the naming of the city's latest superliner, Arcadia.
The £200 million vessel is the largest to be built for the UK cruise market and visitors to Southampton will get their first impression of Arcadia from the massive billboard on the Leepeckgreenfield building overlooking the A33 at Chilworth.
The advertising, design and PR agency has erected a huge 55ft long by 20ft high canvas of Arcadia on the east side of its two-storey building.
Thousands of passers-by see the full-colour graphic of Arcadia which will be officially named by Dame Kelly Holmes tomorrow.
The ceremony will be screened live on a large screen in Mayflower Park from 7.15pm, with the evening set to be rounded off by an impressive fireworks display over the city.
Don't forget to buy your souvenir Arcadia edition of the Daily Echo on sale at the naming ceremony.
