ANDOVER band Sion play The Hobbit in Southampton tonight. The unsigned act have just started a 20-date self-booked and self-promoted tour around the UK and were featured in a recent edition of NME, who described them as "five young gentlemen filled with the spirit of Biffy Clyro and Led Zeppelin who have dedicated their lives to the art of gigging." THE Illegal Eagles are one of the world's finest tribute acts, and have been described as a must-see for any fan of The Eagles, or anyone who enjoys fantastic live music. The band's founder, Phil Aldridge, conceived the idea after The Eagles' final live performance in 1996. Since then, the band have headlined a number of tours throughout Europe and continue to astound audiences with their talent. The band play Southampton Guildhall tomorrow at 8pm.

RIK Waller's Mighty Soul Band play at Talking Heads in Southampton tomorrow night. After making his name during the first series of ITV1's Pop Idol, the larger than life performer has left the world of cheesy pop ballad covers behind and is showcasing his latest musical venture.
He is currently touring with his own band, and performs traditional 60s soul music with original music interspersed between covers of classic artists such as Otis Redding and James Brown. The group's debut album, Innocence, will be released soon.

ALTERNATIVE rock band The Subways play the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth this Sunday. You'd definitely recognise their catchy single Oh Yeah as it has been gracing the airwaves of various radio stations over the last few weeks. The Welwyn Garden City band consists of Billy Lunn, his girlfriend Charlotte and his younger brother Josh. With an average age of just 19, having already played Glastonbury and in the middle of a headline tour, this group are really hot at the moment. Catch them while you can.

MAD about musicals? Love the blues? If you do then there's two great shows on at the Kings theatre in Southsea this weekend.
Tonight a two-hour extravaganza of West End showstoppers takes centre stage from 7.30pm.
On Saturday local band, Blues Brothers Inc bring those classic sounds to the theatre. The fun starts at 7.30pm.

Tonight 80s time lord popsters China Crisis dust off their guitars for a night of retro music. Tickets £10.

The legendary Tony Joe White plays at The Brook on Sunday. Born in Louisiana, Tony has written songs for some of music's biggest stars. Hits he's penned include Tina Turner stadium favourite Steamy Windows.
