BEVERLEY Knight's Southampton show was originally due to take place in November last year. Luckily for eager fans with tickets, they haven't had to wait too long for the popular soul singer's rescheduled south coast gig.
The two-time Mobo award winner performs at the city's Guildhall on Monday as part of an exclusive eight-date tour to showcase material from her infectious fourth studio album, Affirmation, released last year.
The album was written in collaboration with writers and producers ranging from Guy Chambers, famous for his songwriting for Robbie Williams, to Peter Vettese, who has worked with the likes of Annie Lennox.
Despite the high quality of the release, it is only really possible to appreciate this woman's extraordinary talent by seeing her perform live.
Beverley's incredible vocal range and gospel music background means that her performances are soulful and exuberant.
Beverley is very involved with the charity Christian Aid, and has travelled to Brazil as part of her work for the organisation.
Monday's show in Southampton looks set to be a great night of live music during which the audience will be able to witness for themselves this woman's amazing passion for music, and compassion for life.
Tickets £17.50. Box office 023 8063 2601.
