Romsey'S Hartley family, whose young boys are undergoing life-saving bone marrow transplants, are hoping as many people as possible will support a Walk 4 Life event in aid of The Anthony Nolan Trust at Broadlands in May.
The four brothers, Joshua, aged 13, Nathan, 11, Daniel 9 and Luke, 5, have all been suffering from a life-threatening genetic condition for which transplants are the only 'cure'.
Joshua and Daniel have already undergone bone marrow transplants and the other two boys now have donor matches in preparation for their treatment.
Their parents, Allison and David, are campaigning to increase the number of donors with the Anthony Nolan Trust and the British Bone Marrow Registry.
To raise awareness, the Walk 4 Life event is to be held at Broadlands, Romsey, on Sunday, May 22nd and over 100 people are already registered.
Anybody interested should call 01865 875757, or e-mail oxford@anthonynolan.org.uk. Registration forms are available at Volumes Bookshop in Bell Street, Romsey or The Romsey Advertiser office at 21a Market Place. For those unable to walk on the day, Joshua Hartley can be sponsored.
