WATERSIDE traders supporting the Daily Echo campaign include Roberta O'Hara, landlady of The Lord Nelson pub in High Street, Hythe.
She said: "The ferry IS Hythe and it's one of the things that tourists love about the place.
"Saints fans use the ferry when they go to home games and there will be more traffic on the roads if they and the other passengers have to go in and out of Southampton by car.
"It'll be really bad for Hythe if the ferry service is closed. They can't take it away."
