HAMPSHIRE freight company Meachers has sealed a deal with Nivea hand cream maker Beiersdorf UK to manage its daily distribution.

Meachers, which employs 250 people at its headquarters in Nursling, Southampton, will transport up to three full loads a day for Beiersdorf, which also makes healthcare products like Elastoplast, from its central distribution centre in Birmingham to customers throughout the UK.

This is one of a number of new accounts won by Meachers following investment over the past 12 months, which has included moving to a new facility in Derby and investing over £500,000 in new vehicles and trailers.
