A SOUTHAMPTON theatre claims to have the perfect cure for miserable men - a comedy about finding the perfect partner.
As reported in the Daily Echo a recent survey said people in Southampton were the most miserable in the country.
The poll quizzed 2,000 people about how happy they felt and how often they smiled.
Southampton people were said to be the most unhappy - with the city's single men in their 30s being more grumpy than anyone else.
Staff at Southampton's Nuffield Theatre say they are determined to raise smiles with a production of The School for Wives.
Alice Wright at the Nuffield Theatre said: "Having read about the unhappy men of Southampton - we have something to cheer them up.
"The play basically involves a man trying to make a perfect partner for himself. All very topical!"
The School for Wives is at the Nuffield Theatre from April 14. For information call 023 80671771.
