SOUTHAMPTON'S WestQuay shopping centre was transformed into a magical storybook world at a reading event for school children.
Books including classics from Roald Dahl and contemporary tales from Dick King-Smith were brought to life by readers who re-enacted stories throughout the day.
Children who arrived in fancy dress were rewarded with prizes at the event held to celebrate the Nestle Cereals free Puffin book promotion.
