Sydenhams Wessex Lge, Div. 3 - Micheldever 4, Verwood Town 0
THREE wins in five days - with only one goal conceded - have provided a useful boost for Dever,
Against Verwood on Easter Monday, Dever were generally on top, and took the lead after half-an-hour's play when Tony Brierley's shot squirmed underneath the visiting keeper.
Verwood then enjoyed a spell in the ascendancy, but after half-time Dever flexed their muscles and cantered to victory.
Mark Green made it 2-nil with a sweet chip just after the break, and man-of-the-match Maciej Kot added a third.
Nick Holmes rounded off the scoring for Dever, for whom it was a second four-goal haul in three days.
QK Soton 1, Micheldever 4
Dever started slowly at lowly QK on Saturday, and when Barry Edwards scored an own-goal five minutes before the break an upset looked a distinct possibility.
QK defended sturdily and in depth, but once Nick Lewis had grabbed the equaliser after 77 minutes, the floodgates opened.
Martin Bailey put Dever in front with a header, and further goals from Mark Green and Jon Malone followed as the visitors ran amok in the closing stages.
Dever made it through to the final of the North Hants Senior Cup by winning 1-nil at Sydenhams Wessex 2 side Whitchurch United last Thursday.
Jon Malone's free-kick two minutes from time decided the tie in favour of the visitors, who will meet Andover in the final.
