BUYING a house in Southampton has just got a bit cheaper.
This Georgian town house has just gone on the market - and it's going for a song.
The grand residence boasts luxury accommodation including three bedrooms, fully-fitted kitchen and a hand-painted porcelain bathroom suite. There is one, significant, catch - it is not ideal for your average family.
In fact, it is best suited to a family whose average height is not more than a few inches.
The handcrafted twelfth scale Georgian property, with a reserve price of £600, was created by model enthusiasts Hazel and Brian Musgrove of Sholing. Now the couple have donated the collectors' item to The Rose Road Association to be sold to help benefit the many children and young people with disabilities who use the services of the Southampton-based charity.
The model house - complete with fixtures and fittings, as well as furniture including a mahogany table and chairs and candelabra - can be viewed by visiting The Rose Road Association in Aldermoor Road, Southampton.
Anyone wishing to view the property should call Jane Smith in the fundraising department at The Rose Road Association on 023 8072 1203.
