HARRY REDKNAPP and Peter Crouch could be in line for a Saints double later this week when the latest Barclays Premiership manager and player of the month awards are announced.
Saints have won both their league matches in March, beating Tottenham 1-0 and Middlesbrough 3-1.
Those results have lifted them out of the relegation zone for the first time since November, although they are still only one point clear of Crystal Palace.
Redknapp has already been named manager of the month once this season in October.
He guided Portsmouth to two victories, including a 2-0 beating of Manchester United and two draws, to take them into the top half.
Redknapp, of course, left shortly later before joining Saints in December.
It took him time to turn things around at St Mary's, but since the closure of the January transfer window, Saints have been in good form, losing just once when they faced Birmingham at St Andrews.
A major reason for that run has been the outstanding form of striker Crouch.
He has scored 12 times in 17 starts, including a superb brace against Middlesbrough.
Other teams able to match Saints' 100 per cent record in March are champions Chelsea, Arsenal and Bolton.
Saints play Jose Mourinho's table-topping Chelsea at St Mary's this Saturday.
