SORRY: Last week's copy of the Ellisfield village news disappeared into the internet's equivalent of never-never land.
LADIES: The recent AGM of the Ladies Club was, said Doreen, "a really good evening, with a record number of 43 members attending".
She added: "The planned programme for the coming year is excellent and it will, we hope, encourage even more Ellisfield ladies to join the club."
RECYCLING: Around 17 per cent of the refuse picked up by the Axford and Ellisfield refuse collection on Fridays comprises the recyclable items we put out in bags or "piggy back" bins.
The parish council is backing the borough's push for that percentage to be higher and more information on ways we can do this will be published soon.
In the meantime, one small tip - don't put any glass in with your recyclable waste because, currently, if the refuse collector notices it, the whole lot will be thrown in with the normal rubbish.
