HAMPSHIRE youngsters are invited to bid for a place on a free sailing course run by solo round-the-world yachtswoman Emma Richards.
The Isle of Wight sailor, pictured, who shot to fame in 2003 when she became the first British woman to complete the Around Alone race, has teamed up with HSBC Education Trust to run the course.
Youngsters who would not normally be given the chance to try sailing will have an opportunity to take part in a week-long residential watersport course at Rockley Point centre, in Poole, Dorset, in June.
To enter, visit Emma's website, www.emmarichards.com, and write a paragraph about why you want to learn to sail.
