EARLIER this month students from the theatre Royal in Winchester performed as part of selection process to win a place at the National Theatre in London.
The performance of Just was part of the world's largest celebration of youth theatre, National Theatre Shell Connections.
The play was directed by youth theatre leader Aimee Forrester. The company is offered a choice of plays by new writers, specifically written for youth drama groups, and each performance is assessed to go forward to perform at the National Theatre in London.
Education manager Nicola Peacock of The Theatre Royal, Winchester, commented: "This is an amazing opportunity for our students to gain broader experience through the experience of casting, production and performance.
"We were delighted to have been invited by the National Theatre to present work as part of this prestigious event."
