LIVERPOOL Legends beat their celebrity opponents 6-2 in a tsunami appeal match at Anfield yesterday.
Reds players spanning four decades thrilled a crowd just shy of 39,000 by beating a collection of stars managed by Saints boss Harry Redknapp.
The contest to raise money for charities Save The Children and Merlin in their ongoing work to help those affected in Asia saw some of Liverpool's greatest ever players turn out.
"I have to say it brings tears to my eyes," said European Cup winner Alan Kennedy.
Harvey, of pop group So Solid Crew, and soap actor Steve Fletcher netted for Redknapp's side, drawn from a variety of professions.
