THIS season's Senior League Cup final will be contested by Nursling and AFC Bassett.
The Bassett boys made it to the final when they overcame stubborn resistance from Ordnance Survey Reserves, who fell at the same hurdle as last year.
Bassett started the stronger and it was no surprise when they took the lead, although it came from a spot kick after holding in the box. Dean Fryer coverted.
Survey equalised right on the stroke of half-time when a pin point Kev Hayter cross was superbly headed over Renyard in the Bassett goal by Steve Lace.
There was no further score in normal time and the match looked to be heading for penalties when Clint Fyfield won the tie for Bassett with a rasping long-range effort.
There were three Premier division matches, with Nursling edging past Botley Village courtesy of a single Chris Brown volley to keep the pressure on leaders Classic Comrades.
Locksley Sports have their minds on their SFA Senior Cup final and went down 2-1 against ten-man Hythe Aztecs after Ricky Butler had put them in front. Liam Collymore and Martin Randall scored the Aztecs goals.
AFC Arrow also recovered from behind after trailing by two goals to AFC Target (Pete Hurst and Ben Boyce).
Dave Povey struck twice with Justin Chapman completing the recovery.
