RETRO indie rock band Ocean Colour Scene play the Guildhall in Southampton on April 17.

Best remembered for their 1996 seminal classic, Moseley Shoals the band are still one of the country's best live acts fusing blues and soul with their unique twist of rock.

THE big man with the even bigger voice will perform at Talking Heads in Southampton next month.

Rik Waller, who made his name during the first series of musical talent show Pop Idol, brings his Mighty Soul Band to the intimate Southampton venue on Saturday April 9.

Gone are the pop ballads that he performed on the hit reality show. Instead, Rik is now performing the music that he has always had a passion for and suits his powerful voice.

Traditional 1960s soul music will be on offer from the larger than life singer and his talented backing band. They will perform a wide range of classic covers as well as some new material.

Look out for their debut album, Innocence, out later this year.
