RANI the Indian Hill Mynah bird has been making a big impression at a Hampshire leisure park.
Paultons Park, near Totton, has gained a feathered version of top mimic Alistair McGowan following the completion of new pathways near Rani's enclosure.
While the work was going on the clever bird learned to copy the radio calls that staff use to communicate with each other.
As well as saying phrases such as "park 15 to park 30" Rani even mimics the electrical feedback heard at the end of each message.
Apart from copying the park's two-way radios, Rani also asks visitors, "what's your name, then?", says "hello" and even impersonates other birds.
Rani was born at the park in 2003 and was hand-reared by the livestock team.
