CHARLOTTE SLATER was City of Southampton's star at the Hampshire Open, Junior, Youth and Multi-disability County Championships at The Quays.
The 14-year-old produced a five-second personal best in the 200m freestyle heats.
She then swam another pb in the finals to become both open and junior county champion and set a national qualifying time.
Slater also claimed the 100m freestyle open and junior titles, with another pb of 1.00.35, a Championship-best performance.
In her next event she led the 800m freestyle from start to finish to again take both the open and junior County Championship titles in yet another pb (9.13.95), a national qualifying time.
Slater also set pbs and national qualifying times in three other events.
She was second in the open 400m freestyle but took the county junior title (4.31.68). She was third in the open 200m butterfly and county junior champion (2.26.22), and she was second in the junior 100m butterfly (1.07.15) and first in her age group.
Joanna Jeffcoate, 14, also had a good weekend.
She produced a pb in the 200m butterfly heats and improved that again (2.26.40) to gain second place in both the junior and age group.
Jeffcoate won the junior and age group in the 400m individual medley (5.16.00) and was third in the 200m freestyle but second in both junior and age group (2.11.67).
She also won her age group in the 200m backstroke and the 200m IM, where she was second in the junior group. She was second in her age group for the 100m butterfly; third in the 100m freestyle age group and junior and second for the 100m IM in the junior and her age group.
