CIVIC chiefs have agreed to put the bite on kebab and burger vans trading in the Hedge End and Botley areas.
Eastleigh Council's Hedge End, West End and Botley Local Area Committee was told a series of complaints had been received about late-night trading by kebab vans.
Councillors heard that a mobile fast food van in Botley Square had obstructed drivers' vision and attracted a significant number of customers who caused noise and litter and nuisance.
But the days of the mobile food outlets are numbered following a decision to designate a number of local roads "consent streets", where street trading is banned without consent of the council.
Councillors agreed to give the status to Upper Northam Road and Lower Northam Road in Hedge End plus Marls Road and High Street in Botley with effect from June 10.
