YOUNGSTERS from Harefield Infant School donned their wellies and took the classroom outside for the day.
In their new sensory play trail, the children spent the day looking at how the garden has changed since last season before drawing pictures of what they had seen.
They also put on purple masks in a bid to see flowers in the way that bumblebees see them.
"They have all had a whale of a time," said Year 1 teacher Rebecca Comer. "I think it will be difficult to get them back into the classroom!"
