PALM Sunday: The 21st year of Silchester's Palm Sunday walk starts at the Roman Museum in Bramley Road at 9.50am.
There will be the usual contingent of Roman soldiers in authentic costume and Sophie the donkey will lead the procession.
The rector, the Reverend Canon Peter Cooper, will lead the service in the amphitheatre from 11am.
There will also be a dramatic presentation of the Passion during the service and Tadley Concert Brass will lead the singing.
All denominations are very welcome to come along.
There will be parking near the museum, on the pavilion car park and in the church car park, but not at the village hall, please.
Limited disabled parking will be available within the amphitheatre site.
QUIZ: Silchester Association reported a very good attendance at the quiz, and the winner was Mike Baldock's team.
GOOD Friday: Services in the parish church will be at 10am with a very short service for children, led by Richard Rand, followed, at 12.30pm, with meditation, prayers and music.
On Easter Sunday, for those who wish to greet the dawn, there is a short service at 6am inside and outside the church, followed by the main service at 10am to celebrate Easter Day.
There will be an Easter egg distribution for the children.
BRIGHT Hour: The Methodist ladies and, indeed, anyone else who would like to come along, meet on Wednesday, at 2.30pm, in the Methodist Hall, when the speaker will be the Rev Gavin Rogers.
JAZZ concert: Advance notice of this concert in the church on Saturday, May 14, from 7.30pm.
