THE Luxury Of Time charts Jane Tomlinson's battle with cancer and the challenges she has faced along the way.
It is hard to imagine how she has continued to find motivation and drive as she juggled raising a family and job commitments with hospital visits, treatments and training.
"Part of what you do is to create memories for the children, so they've got good times they can remember at a time when it's quite difficult," she says.
"I don't do it so that I can live longer. I do it so that I can enjoy the life that I have."
Some have accused her of not spending enough time with her family, pursuing personal challenges instead. Others do not believe she is ill. But Jane has faced more important challenges than overcoming criticism. Part of her motivation is to give hope to others.
"I'm terminally ill with breast cancer.
"I want to show somebody who might have a similar prognosis that you can set yourself goals, that it doesn't matter if it seems a bit impossible."
The Luxury Of Time by Jane and Mike Tomlinson is published by Simon & Schuster, priced £16.99.
