A TWO-HOUR sponsored knit-a-thon netted £150 for charity.
The annual event run by Hampshire Red Cross was held in North Baddesley.
The group of knitters made baby layettes that will be used in an African orphanage.
Event organiser Wendy Knight MBE, a volunteer counsellor at Hampshire Red Cross, said: "It's something we do every year to try to raise funds. Most of the money came from the Over-60s Club, who went around collecting on our behalf."
