COLLINGBOURNE Ducis is formally celebrating the reopening of its village hall tomorrow when David Paterson the one remaining trustee from the original group that established the village hall trust will unveil a celebratory plaque to record the event and thank donors.
The old hall had to be shut in November 2003 because of a collapsing roof.
A concerted fundraising effort, the support and generosity of many organisations and people, and local management of the building work made it possible to rebuild the roof and undertake major improvements to the hall.
