A FORMER Hampshire ambulance is to be put to good use ferrying sick villagers to hospital in Kosovo.
The decommissioned patient transport ambulance was handed over to representatives from the Hope and Aid Direct charity at Southampton Ambulance Station.
Hope and Aid Direct volunteers regularly collect, transport and distribute humanitarian aid to hospitals, schools, refugees and some of the poorest families in areas of Europe affected by poverty and trauma.
The Hampshire ambulance will play a crucial role in transporting villagers in Kosovo to hospital for treatment. Pictured left is Hope and Aid Direct's Bernie Sullivan taking charge of the ambulance from Grah Ellis on behalf of the Hampshire ambulance service.
