IT was only a short move but youngsters at Hamble now have a new state-of-the-art youth centre.
The village's youth club is one of the oldest in Hampshire and it has a new home just yards from its old base at Hamble Community Sports College.
The move has also heralded a new name - The Hamble Young People's Experience.
The new centre has a coffee bar, Internet facilities and a plasma TV screen. During the day there will be an information and advice centre.
Eastleigh's Deputy Mayor, Councillor Bernie Wright, was among guests who were at the official opening of the new centre, which will serve the villages of Hamble, Bursledon and Netley.
