MORE than 100 school children from Southampton will take part in a recorder extravaganza at the city's Turner Sims Concert Hall today.
Recorder players from St Patrick's Primary School, St Denys Primary School, St Mary's Primary School, Shirley Warren Primary School, Hightown Primary School, Ludlow Juniors, St Monica Juniors and Hollybrook Juniors will take part in the show, alongside music groups Sirinu, pictured, and Exsaessa.
Using medieval and renaissance instruments, including harp, hurdy-gurdy and crumhorns, they will tell the story of Robin Hood and his merry friends of Green Wood.
The concert will also feature two Southampton youth groups, Consort and Southampton Waits.
