TRAFFIC: The results of the traffic monitoring on Axford Road have finally been received.
A site meeting between parish councillors and traffic management experts will take place soon.
LADIES: Doreen has asked me to mention the Ladies Club's AGM and social, which is taking place next Wednesday, at 8pm, in the Memorial Hall.
She said: "Please come along and renew your membership, which is still only £5, and help us select our programme for the coming year.
"New members from Ellisfield and the benefice will be made welcome."
NEED: Following an article in the latest parish council newsletter, 11 individuals and families have now informed the parish clerk that they have a need for affordable housing in the village.
At its meeting on Monday, the parish council decided to investigate this further.
COUNCIL blow: No nominations were received by Electoral Services to fill the two vacant parish councillor places.
The news was a bit of a blow for the existing councillors.
Two public-spirited Ellisfield residents are now asked to step forward for co-option as councillors.
If you'd like to help look after the interests of the village and its residents, contact the parish clerk, Jacqui Matthews, on 381149.
ALLOTMENTS: The parish council has received three applications for plots in the upper allotments.
The area will soon be cleared, ready for spring planting.
