ANNUAL parish meeting: Will take place on Friday, April 22, at the village hall, at 8pm.

All members of the public are welcome, and there will be ample opportunity to raise questions and comment on matters relating to parish affairs.

With so much going on in the village, this will be your chance to speak to parish, borough and county councillors.

LENT lunch: On March 20, there will be a simple meal of soup, cheese and bread, followed by fruit.

This will be served up in Cross House at about 12.30pm, after the parish communion and Sunday School in St James' Church.

To help with catering, please put your name on the list in the church porch if you intend going along.

WEBSITE: The parish council is appealing for someone to take over the maintenance of the parish website.

If you can help, contact Dusty on 881420.

JUMBLE sale: On Saturday, March 19, in Cross House, between 2pm and 3.30pm.

Remember that recycling is important these days, so why not donate your unwanted items to help church funds?

Call Richard on 881182, or Rodney on 881334, if there are goods you cannot get to Cross House on Friday or early Saturday.

PARISH council publications: At the February meeting, the council discussed the issue of its next newsletter.

It was suggested that it would be best to publish the newsletter later in the year, when copies could be delivered at the same time as the Bramley magazine.

It was noted that the parish information leaflet was very much out of date and steps were being taken to check and update all entries before a further edition went to print.
