HARRY REDKNAPP has promised massive changes after Saints' FA Cup nightmare.
The Saints boss was forced to field a makeshift side that was thrashed 4-0 by holders Manchester United in Saturday evening's FA Cup sixth round tie at St Mary's.
Now Redknapp could make at least SIX changes to that side for next Sunday's Premiership trip to Middlesbrough.
Redknapp was without his entire first-choice midfield against United - Jamie Redknapp and Graeme Le Saux (injured), Nigel Quashie (cup-tied) and David Prutton (suspended).
Right-back Rory Delap was also injured while centre half Claus Lundekvam was forced off at half-time through sickness.
Antti Niemi, on the bench against United, is also expected to win a recall at The Riverside.
Redknapp said: "It was always going to be a difficult night.
"I don't make excuses, I never have, but if I'm picking my best team next week there's only three or four of that team that are going to be in it."
The defeat was Saints' heaviest ever at St Mary's and the first time they have conceded four goals there.
