A HAMPSHIRE man who went for a spin on his motorbike on mudflats at low tide sparked an emergency services rescue at the weekend.
The rider became bogged down in the heavy mud at Fareham Creek, off Eastern Parade, Fareham, on Saturday evening.
He was forced to dial 999 from his mobile phone just after 7pm, when he became trapped underneath the bike.
Paramedics were first to arrive on the scene, followed by two fire crews from Fareham who rescued the man in 20 minutes, using a ladder and other equipment.
He had not sustained any serious injuries and was helped off the creek, which feeds into Wallington River, and taken back to his home in Havant by ambulance.
