A REGIONAL premiere of the new animated adventure Robots raised over £3,000 for the Southampton-based charity Leukaemia Busters.
More than 500 people packed into the Odeon cinema at Southampton's Leisureworld complex for the special Mother's Day screening.
The Daily Echo-backed premiere included a pre-screening party at Jumpin' Jaks, where guests were entertained by musicians Freefaller, Becki from Big Brother 5 and MC Alistair from Artful Dodger.
Together the two events raised £3,155 to help Leukaemia Busters research and develop new, improved and safer treatments for leukaemia and related conditions. A cheque was presented to Sarah Slade, the charity's fundraising assistant. She is pictured receiving the cheque from Rich Corneby and Lottie Stamp.
Nigel Impey, Leukaemia Busters fundraising manager, said thanks went to everyone who attended, along with the event's many sponsors and prize donors.
