GEOFF Butler insisted there was "no disgrace" as his Bashley side succumbed to a 2-0 loss at promotion-chasing Horsham.
The Bashley manager, who has lost around half of his regular first teamers in recent weeks for various reasons, fielded nine teenagers in his squad of 14. And the new crop of Bash youngsters were close to gaining a creditable result from a side hanging on to the all-conquering AFC Wimbledon's coat-tails in second spot in the Ryman Division One table.
He said: "Horsham are a good side and you can see why they are challenging for promotion. But there was no disgrace for the boys at all in the way they played. We certainly had enough chances to have got something from the game."
Dave Wakefield wasted two decent opportunities while Barry Mason, James Totczyk and Matt Parnell all had good chances.
