JO Tessem's Saints career has ended.
The Norwegian midfielder/striker has returned to his homeland on loan at Lyn Oslo for the rest of the season.
He is expected to sign a three-year contract when his St Mary's contract expires at the end of this season.
Former Norwegian policeman Tessem, pictured above, was signed by Dave Jones for £600,000 in November 1999 after impressing while playing for Molde against Saints in a pre-season tour.
He went on to make 78 starts for the club plus 51 sub appearances, scoring 16 goals.
Tessem, 33, has not played for Saints' first team at all in 2004/05. He had a loan spell with Lyn last season and was on loan to Millwall earlier this season.
